Real Ale Festival - Saturday 25th September
The 9th Cove and Kilcreggan Real Ale Festival is to be held in Cove Burgh Hall on Saturday 25 September 2010 from noon until 10pm. Entry costs £3.00 on the door with a badged glass to keep. A family area is available and food is served all day. Music is provided during the afternoon by Crowded Croft and during the evening by Burnt Orange.The festival features 15 real (cask-conditioned) ales and this year's theme is "CoastAles". All the beers come from coastal breweries around Britain and provide a cross-section of current ale styles, strengths and colours. Also 2 Herefordshire real ciders and one perry will be available. Wine and soft drinks are provided.Service bus 316 leaves Colquhoun Square, Helensburgh at 5 minutes past each hour, westbound for Coulport. The bus stop is outside Cove Burgh Hall at the southern end of the Rosneath Peninsula. The last bus back to Helensburgh is at 1010pm.A regular ferry service runs all day from Gourock to Kilcreggan. The hall is one mile to the west from the pier. The 316 bus stops at the pierhead. The last ferry back to Gourock leaves at 720pm.For further information call Richard Coates on 01436 842841.
