The vibrant hub of activities in Cove and Kilcreggan
Richard Coates
You may have heard by now that out Treasurer, Richard Coates, died suddenly last Sunday, 13 Juanuary. Richard was an original subscriber to the company formed to take over ownership of the Hall some 12 years ago. Since then he has been one of the mainstays of bringing the Hall to the success it is today. As Director, Company Secretary and Treasurer he has led the financial aspects of operating the Hall since day one. Not only that, he instigated our annual real ale festival, the single most profitable event the Hall runs.
Hogmanay Ball
Once again the Hogmanay Ball was a spectacular all round success - a great night of dancing and sociability at the turn of the year. Having now finally sorted out the finances Richard Mullen has forwarded £1,532 to the Burgh Hall's bank account. This is accepted with enormous gratitude and the continuing promise that every penny will be spent on maintaining and improving the hall. Enormous thanks to the Hogmanay Ball team and various helpers led by Richard Mullen and Linda Bellshaw.
